Pierre Blouet appointed Director of RICE

A world reference center of expertise, RICE (Research & Innovation Center for Energy) carries out R&D activities dedicated to the entire gas chain and its contribution to the energy transition, serving operators in the sector, industrialists and other international research organizations. Since May 1, 2021, RICE has been directed by Pierre Blouet, whose career path is summarized below.

Pierre Blouet, 54 years old, holds a degree in chemical engineering (ENSCL) in 1991 and a doctorate in materials science from the University (USTL) and the CEA obtained in 1995.
He started his career in 1996 in the Research Department of Gaz de France; since 2004, he has also been Secretary of the Management Committees of the General Management of GDF. In 2005, he joined the Nord-Pas-de-Calais management team of Enedis. In 2009, he joined GRTgaz as Industrial Policy Manager in the Technical and Expertise Center. In 2011, he became Deputy Director and then Deputy Director of the Rhône-Méditerranée Region. In 2015, he was appointed Deputy Director of the Technical Division. In 2018, he was appointed Director of Procurement and Logistics.

With 25 years of experience, Pierre Blouet succeeds Sandrine Meunier, who has been appointed Director of Operations at GRTgaz.
