RICE participated in the organisation of the 2021 edition of the conference, which gathered nearly 700 participants in Angers.
L’European Safety and Reliability Conference(ESREL 2021) was held this year in Angers (France) from 19 to 23 September 2021. This 31stedition of the main European conference on operational safety was organised by the University of Angers, with which RICE already collaborates, in particular on predictive maintenance subjects. More than 300 people came from Europe, America, Asia, Africa and Oceania to attend the face-to-face conference, plus more than 400 people who followed the remote sessions. RICE seized the opportunity to increase its reputation among industrialists and academics by being a partner of the event. RICE, present in the programme committee of the congress, organised a special session on the modelling of safety-related systems. This one hosted 5 presentations (with Norwegian, English, Dutch and French authors) which were particularly well attended. One of them was the result of a collaboration between RICE and TOTAL Energies. 4 other sessions, on system reliability and applications of operational safety to the gas industry, were also chaired by our engineers and researchers.
